GLaDOS in Portal 2
The Genetic Lifeform and Disk Operating System of the Aperture Science Enrichment Center, GLaDOS is a maniacal, rogue AI with an odd fascination with cake. GLaDOS released a deadly neurotoxin into the ventilation ducts of the Aperture Science Enrichment Center after the scientists there attempted to deactivate her. Her main objective is to test and improve science.
Personality[]
For most of the first game GLaDOS appears to be an emotionless computer voice that only speaks scripted statements depending on the player’s actions. Upon discovering that GLaDOS is in fact very much self-aware as well as evil, her true nature comes out as incredibly violent and cynical. It is revealed that the only thing keeping her from killing the player earlier in the game is because of a “morality core” installed on her after she flooded the enrichment center with toxins the first time. In Portal 2 her core is put into a potato but at the end of the game she gets her body back.
